Pros

Some high-quality coaching and the opportunity to work with dedicated and passionate colleagues.

Cons

Where to start? The behavioral management system was an outdated and emotionally damaging 'broken windows' system where even the smallest of behaviors - posture, eye contact, etc - was policed. Underexperienced staff rose to leadership positions and were constantly 're-inventing' curriculum and imposing it on classroom teachers. Work-life balance was non-existent - some grade level meetings started at 6:00 in the morning. There were documented incidents of administrative staff emotionally and even physically abusing students. I started off my career as an educator there and, looking back, cannot overstate how damaging their approach to education and emotional-social wellbeing is, for both staff and students.
