Pros

This is a stepping stone position if you need to add experience to a resume and look into another field. The position teaches you resolve, resiliency, and work ethic. If you’re one of the “favorites” then the social interactions are enjoyable.

Cons

They hire everyone who can string two sentences together and are deemed acceptable looking by the hiring manager Grant. Most recent grads or people looking to get out of their current employment will take what they can get when they see a job posting and Acquire does a very good job of withholding the truth without actually lying. YOU WILL BE SELLING PHONES AND DIRECT TV AND HOME AUTOMATION APPOINTMENTS IN A SAMS CLUB OR A COSTCO. YOUR CUSTOMER BASE WILL CONSIST OF PREDOMINANTLY ANNOYED AND UNWILLING CUSTOMERS. YOU’RE THIRD PARTY LABOR FOR COSTCO AND SAMS. YOU’RE NOT A MARKETING REPRESENTATIVE OR A BRAND AMBASSADOR OR WHATEVER OTHER TERM THEY CAN MAKE UP TO SOUND FANCY. YOU’RE A SALESMAN FOR AT&T, VERIZON, SPRINT, VIVINT IN A SAMS CLUB OR COSTCO. Think of outsourcing a manufacturing plant oversees. Cheaper labor. There are no benefits. They tell you to track your drive miles so you can write it off on your taxes. The IRS doesn’t accept it and you will not be compensated for the drive time WHICH THERE IS A LOT OF. They run their business similar to Direct tv in the sense that “it is all about the new person”. Direct tv takes care of new customers but treats their existing customers very poorly, that is why Acquire and Direct tv both have a very high turnover rate. When it comes to pay and compensation you will make less than average money, unless you’re willing to sell un-compliantly and have learned how to convince people that the product you’re pushing isn’t outdated and an all-around bad service. You make 10$ an hour OR commissions that aren’t guaranteed with the sale. They also give out promotions to keep you motivated and to make it feel like there is a sense of responsibility so you don’t constantly think about how much you hate your job. Part of that promotion is going and writing a positive review on job search sites so the negative ones are drowned out by coerced employees. They have morning meetings every day, where you will redundantly train and listen to “motivational impacts” that are basically all about “embrace the suck and if you embrace it long enough and learn how to trick people like we tricked you into working here and get them to stick around and get promoted, we’ll promote you.” And then when they promote you to management you basically have to start the process all over again. They keep you motivated by teasing the opportunity for financial independence with management. They don’t mention that the corporate trainers that have stuck around, don’t have their own vehicles or live with parents so their cost of living is low and they don’t have to worry about not getting a big paycheck. If you like being promised a lot and then none of it come true, day to day sales inside a retailer full of annoyed people, and constantly having to train yourself to not realize how much your position sucks then this position is for you! Hopefully you read this review and save yourself the hassle of dealing with this company.

Dear Sir or Madam, Thank you for taking the time to review our company. It is discouraging to hear that your experience with us at Acquire was not a positive one. There are many claims and opinions stated in your review, and there some that we would like to shed light on. A very concerning claim made in your company review is regarding the way in which we compensate our staff, which we want to set straight. In combination with an hourly wage, Acquire pays its employees commission on all completed transactions. That is a guarantee! The act of not properly compensating employees would cause major legal issues for our company, as well as our clients, therefore, we take accusations such as this very seriously. It seems as though our pay structure may not have been properly or thoroughly explained to you during your time of employment with us and for that, we take full responsibility and would like to apologize. In regards to our daily operations, there is a reason we go to market the way that we do and we understand that it may not be the conventional idea that some have of marketing. However, we assume our clients, such as Costco, which, at the end of 2018, was named the 6th most valuable retail brand in the world with a brand valued at over 18 billion U.S. dollars. Similar facts can be said about a number of our other clients. With that said, logically, prestigious corporations like Costco and others listed in your review with brands to uphold would not allow a company, such as the one you have described, represent their brands every day. Again, thank you for sharing your feedback and we hope our response has provided some clarity. We wish you the very best. Kind Regards, Acquire Human Resources Dept

Pros

The atmosphere is fantastic, so much positive energy, positive people, everyone including management treats you like you matter. Between the work environment and the people I had no negative experience there. Great leaders there.

Cons

If you do not perform well, you will not receive a nice check, which is expected.

Recognizing and rewarding the hard work of our employees is very important to us so we’re very happy to know that you’ve been encouraged by that. It’s wonderful that you have taken advantage of our open-door policy and we hope you continue to do so throughout your time here at Acquire! Thank you for mentioning personal effort.
