Pros

- The team that I work with is very professional and hard working - I feel very secure with my job stability - My manager recognizes when I've gone above and beyond - Flexible schedule (within reason) - Good work life balance - Friendly atmosphere with multiple corporate sponsored events

Cons

- The benefits could be better, but are fair considering the size of the company

Good Company, get involved as much as you would like

Pros

I am a senior manager at ActioNet. I have read all of the reviews given below, many of which seem to be written by the same person. Consequently, my perception of the company is in direct contradiction to some of the negative reviews. ActioNet has provided me a place to work hard and get rewarded for that work. I welcome the desire by my employees to get involved with HQ activities such as business development, proposal development, financial management, portfolio management. In many meeting that I have with my folks I stress that they can be involved at HQ as much as they would like. The benefits that we receive from proposal wins flow down to staff that support these efforts. Promotion from within is the direction we have been given by executive management. If you want to get involved, if you want to get promoted, just ask. There is a path to make that happen. If you want to give 100% of your support to our clients, that is ok and appreciated as well. The CEO of the company and the executive leadership are very approachable and listed to the desires of ActioNet personnel. Just recently, there was some client facing personnel that wanted to get involved in the capture process. They approached their management and the executive team with this desire and very quickly found themselves learning the capture process in a real proposal beside an accomplished capture manager. Many of the folks I know at ActioNet take pride in their ethics. I would never do anything to compromise my ethics. There is no job, no amount of money, worth that. I would resign before doing something that I felt was not right.

Cons

It is true that we have a limited bench at ActioNet, but that is not just at ActioNet. All one has to do is look around at other companies to see the layoffs going on all around us. This is more a reflection of the current state of government contracting and not of ActioNet. When we lose an opportunity, my business unit does everything in our power to identify new positions for those that would like to stay with ActioNet, and work closely with the winner for those that would like to remain with the client.

Not what it used to be

Pros

Can not think of any.

Cons

Going for the big bucks is all it's about anymore, doesn't care about the employees, and lost it's original vision and meaning when she began pushing out the original people who helped get her where she's at today rather than acknowledge contribution and share in success. Staff and customers aren't happy. As a former employee, I here negative stuff when the name is mentioned before people even know I used to work there... embarrassing. Don't go there.
