Upgraded Centers Around the ATX Area.

Some of the centers around Austin were upgraded with a lot of thoughtfulness for the kids. So much more organization. Still manageable productivity and fair caseloads overall.

Cons

Not all centers may have an outdoor play area.

I’m An Autistic Adult and ABC Treated Me Like Trash—So Imagine How They Treat These Kids

-Free food Friday -Free DoorDash subscription -Decent benefits -Paid holidays -Guaranteed hours even when client calls out -They pay for your RBT training and exam

I’m not going to go into extreme detail due to the fact I did sign an NDA before I started working here, but I will list some of the problems I encountered during the 10 months I worked for ABC. -Centers are extremely unclean and unorganized -There are no security cameras whatsoever (this leads to he-said she-said situations) -Management plays favorites and gives certain employees special treatment, while discriminating against other employees -There is a lack of whistleblower protection/confidentiality when reporting concerns -Coworkers are often clicky and will deliberately bully you -Lack of background checks on employees that are hired (some seriously questionable people working with these kids) -Centers are understaffed (people are constantly leaving due to poor work conditions) -There are no excused absences whatsoever (don’t even take doctor notes) -Centers run more like a daycare than a therapy clinic (“assent” is taken way too far) -Lack of safety precautions for severe maladaptive behaviors (e.g. no child locks on doors)
