Pros

- "Walks the walk" in terms of promoting a healthy lifestyles - Good benefits and PTO once you're there for a few years - Great people in the trenches

Cons

- New C-level management has verbally told employees "I don't care about you, and some of you will be fired" - Going public, along with subsequent C-level hirings has KILLED morale - The previously unmatched culture has all but disappeared - Upper management has put ridiculous pressure on all levels of employee thanks to maniacally-unrealistic timeframes for huge, consumer-facing projects

Pros

The co-workers are all very supportive, humorous, and friendly. There is also a Toastmaster within this company where you can join to establish strong communication skills. There are also great benefits including cheaper movie tickets and fitness discounts.

Cons

For me, I would wish a slightly higher salary. But the environment and managers makes me feel very satisfied about my work.

Pros

Opportunities to work with good people. The ability to interact with Fortune 100 level clients gives exposure to situations that you wouldn't necessarily be exposed to in other small software companies. They are flexible with schedules and try to keep employees using cutting edge technology. By promoting the "active" lifestyle they allow employees to pursue a lot of extra activities. The people working at Active really believe in the products they are delivering and you have the chance to see your efforts used first hand. Overall, it is a decent place to work. It has its struggles like everywhere, but it is ok.

Cons

The management of Active does not understand how to use the many acquisitions they have made in the last couple of years and there are a lot of inefficiencies from that.
