Pros

The 401k contribution is great, fairly good benefits (but lessening over time), unlimited sick time (although not always a perk).

Cons

The amount of burn out and over work has become a major issue; work-life balance used to be a perk and this has completely reversed. Expectations and pressure is high to get things done quickly, even if they are done sloppily. This in turn is causing projects to take much longer over the long run. Vacation time is very low for the industry and accumulates slowly. Executive leadership is making changes to the detriment of its employees, agents, and the company. They will say one thing and do the complete opposite. Morale is so low. It's almost as if they want things to get so bad people will leave without having to do lay offs. They continue reducing gifts and benefits, hoping people won't notice.

Lots to Love, but Be Aware

Pros

- ability to work remote nearly full time - Flexible hours - Unlimited sick days - Casual dress code - Great training program and mentorship - Good company values (caring about other people, having integrity) - annual charity donations made based on employee choice - People are kind - Job stability

Cons

- mandatory "fun", including required in-office days a few times a year. Although travel and hotels are paid for, employees are crowded together and expected to socialize all day, sometimes even forbidden from working instead. Many love this, particularly those who work with people and love doing so, but others do not, particularly those in IT and similar departments who signed on for a very different type of work - higher ups seem to dismiss certain employee concerns or deny employees opportunity to share negative feedback in some situations - positive feedback from the majority is sometimes used to drown out serious concerns that only apply to some - The DEIB program was renamed to "Belonging" and a focus was placed on celebrating how many employees feel like they belong at the company instead of listening to minorities who may not feel that way - higher ups seem to be making major reorganization and project methodology changes to "do the work better" without understanding how the work is even done, then telling people they need to "embrace change" if they complain

Pros

- Good benefits - Remote work options - Flexible work schedule (at times)

Cons

- Leadership is dramatically changing the culture and work environment for the worse - Many years of bandaid fixes have led to unsustainable maintenance of applications. With new initiatives, and a heavy emphasis on just pushing things through, this will only get worse - Vacation time is low compared to peer companies
