Pros

The company and the team trained and invested in my learning. I really liked the people on my team.

Cons

Chaotic leadership. I did not feel confident in the leadership's expertise.

Pros

- If you land in a good team, you will feel very supported, you will learn a lot, and grow a lot. - Opportunity to have direct impact on the US healthcare system. - Opportunity to work with senior CMS officials. - Deep understanding of the Medicare and Medicaid policies. - Great opportunity to build up your data analysis and big data skills.

Cons

- The company couldn't get enough HHS contracts in early 2024 leading to a massive layoff of about 10% of the employees. - The attractive benefits that they used to offer prior to 2024, don't exist anymore due to the lack of contracts and funding. - If you are coming from a non data science or computer science background, you will be competing with data and CS people for promotions and the same positions. This may delay your progress at the company but you will learn a lot in the process. - Management is really just a couple of people. There is no such thing as a C-suite.

We appreciate you taking the time to provide your perspective on Glassdoor, especially one that is so balanced, transparent, and thoughtful. As you mention, 2024 was a difficult year for our organization and employees. To reflect on last year, any reduction in workforce is regrettable, yet in 2024 management acted responsibly in reaction to the uncertainty and cutbacks in our clients’ tightening budgets. Nearly a year later, we remain optimistic about the future of AcuSPHERE and the important healthcare research that we see ahead for us. We hope your time here has served you well in your journey. Best wishes in your career and future endeavors.

Pros

If you’re on a great team you’re lucky, but if you’re on a bad team you’re in trouble. You don’t have much power over what team you’re on.

Cons

Huge layoffs, poor upper management that doesn’t really seem to care about lower level folks, big pay cut if you go fully remote until you’re upper management

We appreciate you sharing your experiences while working as an analyst at our firm. This type of feedback is treated seriously by the firm’s leadership, especially in light of the difficult year our team members faced in 2024. Any reduction in workforce is difficult for everyone at the firm, regardless of tenure or whether a team was directly affected. The team here wishes you the best in your career and future endeavors.
