Pros

county benefits, retirement (persi), helping clients

Cons

horrible management, the program is run by someone who has no clinical knowledge, the clients are treated unethically, the program has no consistency. The hours are also evenings and weekends. Clinical procedure is not followed and documentation is inconsistent. The staff gossips a lot, they do not train new staff or provide any guidance. EBP are not followed. high turnover. made to use own vehicle to go to court with no reimbursement

Pros

amazing benefits, paid holidays, vacation and sick time paid, 401k, retirement pension, banking hours

Cons

politics and the 'good ole boys club' when working for an elected official, no matter how ridiculous the 'goal' is, to keep your job, it is really all about the vote. If you keep him/her out of the spotlight (because the incumbent has a higher rate of reelection) then you will not have issues. to move up in Management someone has to either die or retire. very narrow hierarchy
