Pros

Moderately progressive protocols. 24 hour shifts Moderate call volume (avg. 8-12/24 hr shift) Stations (rather than system status) Rotating schedule Above average pay Rigorous FTO process

Cons

Management continues to suffer from poor communication and a culture of secrecy and an "us vs them" mentality. Administration is extremely top heavy with people in multiple departments that really should not be there (emergency management, infection control, and public information to name a few). Staff was just blindsided by a switch from "set 24's" to rotating modified Kelly schedule (1 on, 1 off, 1 on, 1 off, 1 on, 4 off) and the entire process was unnecessarily secretive and complicated. Admin just does not care about the longevity of employees. People who care are ignored, and people who don't care are promoted.
