Pros

Good entry level sales job for recent college grad to gain outside sales experience. Family owned business and they are extremely fun to be around.

Cons

Cannot make a living here based on there pay and commission structure. Health insurance is a joke and they do not offer dental and vision. Half of your base monthly salary will go to cover your healthcare. The CRM (SalesLogic) is a worthless and cannot be used to manage what few customers you have. Most current and large accounts are given to one rep who has a $30K higher base salary than all other reps. Sales are all done by paper. Meaning price books are printed and business submitted on paper. Commission is calculated on a spread sheet and sometimes have hand written corrections. There are no monthly reimbursement for car or cell phone. Most reps will only receive a monthly expense allowance of $150.00 Current out cost in equipment is high we end up selling for little to no gross profit which means a 2% commission on revenue to receive a high revenue commission the sale has to have 20% or more gross profit and to receive commission on gross profit we need to be 70% of plan to receive 10% commission of gross profit. Not allowed to claim manufacture reward points for equipment we sell, points appear to be claimed by someone in the corporate office.

Pros

I have worked for Adams Remco for almost seven years. I left to take a job with a competitor that sold to me how great they are and “how great THEY are to clientele” The outside had so much glamour but no substance. I found out quickly the grass is not greener on the other side. I returned back over a year ago and could not be happier. We, as any, have a story and a great story. However, our mindset is on how we can help our clientele without the high overhead to SHOW customers, rather prove it to clients. We have a track record of over 70 plus years in the technology industry. There have been growing pains including no CRM for awhile but they truly are family owned company and take everyone’s opinion and have learned from it. They don’t just talk the talk but walk the walk. The employees and staff work hard together to achieve what is best for customers and not themselves. A great culture without management spending to much time on meetings after meetings. You will not find that in this industry. First year will be intense but if you work hard you will succeed and make great money. You have full autonomy to be yourself and sell with creativity once you prove yourself. If you need the help, from the CEO down to tenure employees, we help each other. We do more with less and that allows us to pass this to our customers. You CAN and WILL succeed if you put in the time and effort to be in this exciting yet fast paced environment

Cons

Advancement is slow moving but to be expected as the turnover rate is extremely low after the first year. There was no CRM for awhile but the company has made leaps and strides in their training program to the tools to succeed. I have seen some reviews that were not so great and that is common in an industry that pays on performance. If you are not prepared to put in the extra time and effort than you will quickly find this is not the job for you. Sales is not for everyone.
