Started as an Intern in 1999. I'm still here in 2024. I valued the opportunity to build and grow in my career, the freedom to be creative, the support I got when my son had a car accident and was in the hospital in 2023 for 4 1/2 month, when my husband died in 2017, and for many other situations. Adapt has been a huge part of my life for 24 years now, and although I am planning to retire in the near future, it always will be in my heart. Being able to help start the RSAT program and stayed active in that program for 6 years, making it a very successful program. Working with the families of the RSAT clients we worked with, bringing the Oxford houses to Roseburg with the help of Juie Buel, DC jail allegiance, and helping RSAT clients to get 9 college credits for doing the work during the time in RSAT, and a free college term by completion of the program, while attending RSAT aftercare. Adding Gambling treatment was a new experience. Choosing this career was the right decision I made!

The people I work with and for. The ability to focus on strengthening healthy behaviors with our patients. I appreciate the desire of ADAPT to meet the local community at the source of its need, to look at the causes of poor health and to provide healthy interventions.
