Pros

There is a great benefits package with 90% coverage in costs with low deductibles. Full coverage for insurance premiums. Aside from that, nothing else.

Cons

Insulting CEO, Doesn't understand the science side of things and has never been in a lab environment. CEO used to be in hedge fund management and investment banking. Pay is insulting and not open to negotiations.

Pros

The technology is amazing and can revolutionize the way cancer and disease are monitored. Representing a gold-standard diagnostic in its space was stimulating. The talent and intellect of the colleagues I worked with is unmatched. Pay was competitive. Beautiful, modern headquarters.

Cons

Lack of a proactive vision for the company. Repeated layoffs, which were worsened by tone-deaf responses from senior leadership. One example is executives' praising each other for their vision and leadership during a company-wide call the same day as the largest layoff of the year. The company's greatest asset, its human capital, is squandered - whether underutilized entirely, overworked due to RIFs without concomitant reductions in projects/duties, or shortsightedly laid off. Layoffs and subsequent turnover (as those left behind flee for better opportunities) creates a culture of chaos and instability. When senior leaders receive negative feedback, it is either dismissed as unimportant or unacknowledged entirely. Take the overall Glassdoor review rating with a grain of salt, and review the reviews. Many of the recent positive reviews are obviously fake/bots/offshore.

Pros

There are dedicated and smart people working there. The Bioinformatics

Cons

There are a few bright spots in leadership but Adaptive suffers from an enormous amount of organizational cruft. The organizational structures make little to no sense, there are engineering leaders with no engineering experience and zero technical expertise, there's no accountability, especially in management. Over reliance on contractors that don't really get very much done.
