Pros

Remote work, unlimited PTO, fast growth (until 2023 when it halted and a huge group was let go - basically all positions impacting the employee's experience and success), high compensation

Cons

Immature leadership (on an executive and management level in general), lack of clear vision and purpose, outdated technology, co-founder with questionable values and a very public presence

Pros

- Extremely intelligent, thoughtful, and high-character CEO. Rare find in Silicon Valley and beyond. - Tons of autonomy in many roles and functions to drive impact/value once you’ve proven yourself. - Work alongside super passionate team members and learn from peers. Having worked in the NY and MV office, I can attest to strong talent in both locations and a cohesive feel. Additionally, launching the SLC office has been one of the underrated achievements. - Strong alignment and stability between Founder/CEO/Board/Investors, all with proven track records - Open minded and progressive employer. Flexible time off, generous maternity/paternity, takes diversity of thought and inclusion very seriously, encourages a family feel.

Cons

As with any high-growth company, building a company and product from scratch is super difficult. Whether they admit it or not, most employees are really vested in Addepar’s success, which creates a collective anxiety about the future. For this reason, short term road bumps and growing pains are extra discouraging - having a long term outlook is key.

Pros

Startup benefits and work flexibility Self driven workload and responsibility Good office environment and collegiate atmosphere Fast growing

Cons

Not very rewarding career advancement track when many experienced employees make less than new hires due to "market conditions" and "company policy". Make sure you negotiate well before joining as it is hard to advance after signing A decent amount of corporate politics for a startup company

Thanks for your feedback. I think you are misunderstanding how our compensation philosophy works. We benchmark our salary and equity bands annually against market data (I think that's what you mean by market conditions) to ensure that we are paying fairly. That applies both internally and externally. To be clear there is no "company policy" that says we pay new hires more than experienced employees. I'd be happy to discuss it further with you in person. I'd like to clear up any misconceptions. Thanks.
