Pros

Happy hours and outings, worthwhile trainings, ERGs, friendly faces, and a staff with a commitment to making the best out of its employees' experiences.

Cons

You must be able to ride the highs and lows of sales in this competitive work environment! You will get out of it what you put in!

Pros

Addison group is a truly unique company to work for in some of the best ways. From the minute I was hired, I felt that there was major effort put into my training and development as an individual and producer within the company. From sending me (and the rest of my new-hire class) to HQ in Chicago for an interactive training session to their commitment to continuous L&D trainings throughout the year. When I was first hired on in 2020, I was an entry-level sales rep and I feel as though Addison Group really shaped my skills and provided me with phenomenal (female!!) mentorship/leadership. The rest of my story with Addison Group is somewhat unique. I actually left my role a Addison Group to pursue another sales opportunity within a different industry. After about 10 months, I realized that Addison group was my home, and was able to come back to my old team. What made me appreciate Addison Group so much while I was away is the trust they put in their employees. I am an adult, and treated like an adult, with no micromanagement. I also LOVE the job, duties, and freedom I am provided. As someone who has cold-called selling insurance in the past, Business Development Managers at Addison group make more warm calls than anything.

Cons

No cons, I came back to my role here because of how much support I received within Finance & Accounting market information etc.

But this cannot be done without everyone, and we are very proud. Pros

You either focus just on sales or just on recruiting. Some staffing firms make you do it all, but at Addison, you just have to do one or the other. This provides for a much better work-life balance! Also, they offer a lot of training to help you along the way and really seem to care about helping their employees succeed. They often say that they don't fire anyone who puts in the work. I really like the feeling of job stability that I have here.

Cons

They don't have quite the name recognition of some other staffing firms, so it can be a little harder to sell Addison Group than Robert Half, for example. But once a client sees the great customer service we provide and our excellent candidates, they quickly come to see that we are one of the best staffing firms out there! Because it can be harder to sell Addison Group, it takes longer to get temps out, so don't expect a super high bonus your first year. It will come, but it takes time.
