Pros
Dedicated and compassionate front-line staff who work together as a team and try to take care of each other despite the challenges. Several great mid-level managers who truly care. I received a fair salary.
Cons
Capital City Hospice use to be a great company for patients and employees with a culture of care and service. After it was bought by Addus, it quickly became a corporate healthcare company that prioritizes profit over people. Lack of communication and inaccessible executive leadership. Bureaucratic with very little staff autonomy. Addus leadership defensive and resistant if constructive criticism given. Electronic Medical Record system is cumbersome, redundant, and not aligned with hospice care.
