A poor company to grow with

Pros

An intentional focus on very junior staff provides a range of opportunities for people just getting into the industry.

Cons

The management staff continue to be focused on satisfying the needs of distant investment group owners rather than providing vision and direction for the company. Long and erratic work hours, unrealistic commitments, and a need to support an aggressive acquisition strategy lead to untenable project goals. Most of the LOB applications are feeding off client bases built on twenty-year-old applications without providing the necessary support for innovation and growth. Pay is average and raises often less than two percent.

Pros

Everyone in the office is very friendly, mangers have an open door policy and will try their best to help you succeed and grow. 90% of the time it is a 40 hour a week job.

Cons

There is limited room for growth. Also, as the company is owned by a equity firm salary expense is tightly controlled. People work here to gain experience and then find another job to get more pay.

Pros

Since I've been here it seems that it is the trend for recent grads to get started in their career and move on(this can be both positive and negative). Typically they stay for one or two years to get experience and move on to better opportunities with other companies. Healthcare package is decent enough and everyone in the office is friendly.

Cons

Underpaid compared to similar jobs. Senior management seems to be out of touch with their employees though they seem to be making somewhat of an effort. After employees are here for a while and find out their worth they are soon out the door.
