      It's a great company with amazing products -- everyone loves them and you can't go wrong unless...

      Cons

      you cross a former Macromedia employee. It's a serious clique within the company, promoting people based on personal relationships and tenure who really haven't got the skills, aptitude or training to be managers. Don't expect much in the way of team or career coaching or development from such managers -- just support them as best you can (manage from the bottom if you are able) and transfer the hell out of that department.

      Very poor executive leadership

      Easy to get lost in the shuffle if that's what you want to do.

      Cons

      Poor executive leadership, from the top down. High changeover year after year with significant re-orgs. Despite record earnings, employee benefits were subtly reduced each year. Seniority merely gets you a mention on a slide in an all-hands at 5, 10, 15 or 20 years. Observed executives laying off highly qualified seasoned veterans who were some of the most innovative people in the industry. Sadly, Adobe is now only after profits and it shows. Great place to work if you want to kill your creative instincts.

      - Market leader in creative space - Marketing ventures have a lot of room to grow - Lots of good teams and good people at the company - Interesting products - Room to grow career-wise

      Cons

      - Layoffs tend to be around the end of the year (holidays) - Pay is only market rate - Some product areas are playing catch up - Increasing head count to the point where they are jamming people together
