Digital Media business - Directions change every 6 months. Developers are more rewarded than QEs. Not a great place for QEs.

Pros

1. Colleagues are usually all from tier 1 colleges or from peer companies. There are always lots of discussions on puzzles, coding challenges & hackathons. 2. Pay is OK when compared to product companies. Stock options are good, plus Employee stock purchase plans are also available. 3. Work is very interesting. You get to work on industry leading products. Really like the way Adobe encourages its employees to connect with customers directly & learn how they are using Adobe's products. 4. Team is encouraged to learn new programming skills & design practices. 5. Buffet lunch, snacks, soft drinks, etc are provided free of cost.

Cons

1. Depending on the team, work-life balance can be a bit screwed sometimes. 2. Huge huge difference between pay of developers vs. quality engineers. Companies which are of Adobe's stature usually pay near-about or equal to Devs & QEs. 3. Peer programming opportunities are less.

Talented people, interesting projects

Pros

I worked with many talented, friendly people at Adobe. I had educational opportunities and was involved in many interesting projects that helped me grow professionally. I found the salary and benefits package to be generous.

Cons

I disliked the office layout. Almost no walls between cubicles meant that you worked while directly facing another person. In my job I had to be on the phone alot so I was always searching for a meeting room or place I could be on the phone or skype and not disturb a room full of people.
