Amazing opportunities to get exposed to various job functions
Pros
Adobe really supports the movement and growth of their employees. It is incumbent upon employees to make connections via networking and then rely upon their strong reputations to move between groups. Adobe does provide regular networking sessions and brings in outside speakers to help give employees the tools they need to make successful professional connections. The people are extremely talented, and via networking it is possible to learn quite a bit about the different areas of the business. One might expect a bunch of type A personalities given the talent pool, but instead you find that people are really interested in getting to know one another and helping each other to be successful. Senior leadership has really begun making radical strides in redefining who we are as a company. This has taken an incredible amount of strategy and vision on their part, as well as patience in bearing the burden of explaining this to street while we shift our $4B+ company into an entirely new direction. I admire all of their dedication and the hard work that it takes to succeed in an endeavor such as this.
Cons
As is typical in large companies we can at times have processes which are cumbersome and do not feel sufficiently agile. Politics and executive decisions can at times result in throw away work or allocation of resources to projects with an unclear ROI. Director and senior level managers do not always appear to be empowered to push back on these decisions.
