Manufacturing plant leader, in charge of my own crew of employees.

Pros

Friendly environment which provided room for growth and provided the training to do so.

Cons

The plant inevitably closed due to being sold to an overseas operation. Would have liked to keep jobs in America, but apparently AdvanSix took a business approach and took away from the hard working employees they had. Definitely changed my outlook on the word loyalty.

Many were with the prior company for years so there is familiarity among the population It was somewhat easy to transition between companies

Cons

The benefits package is not as good as before Senior leadership isn’t great Tons of growing pains especially with a first-time CEO
