Pros

So far I have not found anything positive about this company other than getting a pay check, no matter how crappy it is.

Cons

Company policies are not explained to employees. Company first in all aspects. They don't care about family life or the health of their employees. They stack to much stuff into 8 hours and threaten to write up employees of every little thing is done. Company demands travel in personal vehicles for work and then offers only $.25 per mile. Employees are told to upsell. Drag customers into deeper holes so the cannot get out of their pay day loan so the company makes money. Promotions are based on who kisses ___ the most. Working hard gets you no where.

Pros

Advance America offers CAREERS not jobs but only to those that put the work in. As with anything, you get out what you put in. In my 10+ years with AA, it has been the most rewarding of all my past places of employment. There is nothing more rewarding than to help a customer (person in need) with a financial solution when they feel there is NO solution! AA offers competitive pay,bonuses, and great insurance benefits BUT the best reward(pay) I receive is the relief and gratitude that I see in my customer's faces DAILY! The work atmosphere is not that of co-workers but that of a TEAM! I am a proud TEAM member of Advance America and love the team with whom I work including those I supervise as well as those whose supervision I'm under. Job security is wonderful because the company consistently looks to provide more needed services to our community. If you like a rewarding career and not just a paycheck than YOU too should come be apart of our TEAM!

Cons

The only CON that I have working for Advance America is with misrepresentation! Some like to down play the important role we play in the community and even say negative things about us. Those are obviously the ones that have never NEEDED a financial solution to a day to day financial obstacle.

Pros

Hours of operation are not that bad. Closed on Sunday and closes every day at 7PM. Its good job experience to list on a resume for someone who doesn't have a degree. The work is not hard.

Cons

There is not enough pay for the amount of work you do. The centers are understaffed to the point customers walk out. You have to travel to and from the bank and are worked at other centers sometimes an hour drive time away. The attitude of upper management is sometimes abusive.

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear the balanced schedule was a positive experience. We have spent a significant amount of time analyzing turnover and the reasons why employees leave. Within like last eight years, turnover has decreased by 60%
