Pros

Not sure I can think of a pro

Cons

Overworked. Underpaid. Upper management wants you to cover multiple stores on short notice. Forced to keep store open multiple times IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER while it was 35° in store. Even in winter gear I couldn’t stay warm. This was not a one time occurrence.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your employment with Advance America. We appreciate your feedback and suggestions. It is concerning to hear you feel that the work schedule and workload were too much. Each region is different regarding the number of staff for individual centers based on population and number of current customers. We evaluate each center to make sure it is functioning at optimal performance. However, if you feel the hours were unreasonable, we would like to know more to address the issues. You can reach out to our Employee Relations team at 1-888-801-7533. Thank you again for your feedback, and we will take your suggestions into consideration.

Competitive Pay

Pros

There has been several improvements throughout the years, especially after the pandemic. Like work life balance in regards to hours. So that's good.

Cons

But having a decent work-life balance getting out at 6:00 on weekdays and 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays can only get you so far when the cost of living is so high up and the expenses and the cost of everything else like food gasoline is so high up. It becomes an issue if your employer is not a competitive payer. When fellow employees start seeing that other companies are starting $3 above what we start. For example, we're at 15 and other companies are starting at 18 that becomes an issue. Not only that, but management needs to be getting paid a lot more than they are now. There's other places that do less than us and get paid more than us. It doesn't make sense.
