Pros

The good things about working at Advance Auto Parts are the people you work with are usually competent and generally create a fun working environment.

Cons

Finding people to work became recently more of a struggle. The upper management wants to cut back hours all the time, leaving only 2 workers in the store from 5-9. Mix that in with a battery installation and you have one person running the store. Also, cutting back on wages, getting rid of employee incentives, and getting rid of all the assistant managers just made the company go downhill. Prior to December of 2011, Advance Auto used to be a respectable place to work with great wages and overall worker morale, now it is impossible to keep a new hire for more than 3-4 weeks when they see what the company has become and are only making minimum wage.

Pros

Great benefits, awesome people, not a whole lot goes wrong here. It's hard work, but easy to do. Just have to make rate.

Cons

Many people complain about changes to the company, even if they do help. Sick time isn't received until 6 months after employment. If you leave even to go to the hospital it still counts against you.
