Pros
- Managers and co-workers at store level are usually really nice and fun to work with. - It's pretty hard to get fired. You have to screw up BIG TIME - like steal or threaten somebody. They're pretty forgiving of honest mistakes.
Cons
- High stress sales environment - Corporate runs things by looking at graphs and charts, not talking to people. Good numbers are the only things that matter. So you can break your back doing "chores" and helping customers and none of it will matter. - Too much micromanagement and bean-counting. - Company will hire someone from outside rather than promote someone who knows what they are doing. This leads to the lower ranked staff having to train the managers! - Customers expect you to be an expert on every part for every car ever made.
