Pros

Most of the work is relatively easy and straight forward and if you know what you are doing, you are pretty much left to your own devices.

Cons

If you aren't buddies with the managers, you won't get any attention or support. If you work hard it will get a "nice job" but that's about it. Those who slack, do slipshod work and spend most of their time looking busy get the most attention. It seems making sure the weakest links are covered up is a priority here so the higher ups don't look too closely.
