      Pros

      Retail is a people business. If you enjoy a face to face contact with retail customers and commercial businesses, this is a pretty easy gig.

      Cons

      Huge change in culture in the past few years that has prevented high achieving managers from advancing to field management levels. I personally have not observed and internal promotion of another GM to DM in the past several years. District manager changes happen no less than twice a year. In my 5 years tenure there have been 11 DM changes in my district.
