Pros

- Opportunities to meet new friends at work. - Very simple to get hired in with no experience.

Cons

-No upward mobility in recruitment. Sure, you can make more money with the uncapped commission, but there is no actual career development opportunities. - Most management is not actually concerned in their teams career growth. If they are, it's because their own job is on the line too. - Every single day is the same. exact. thing. No opportunities for projects to help contribute to the growth of the team. Just smile and dial all day long. As I will mention in my advice to management, the moderator will just say "this is sales", but that's not true. There should always be opportunities to bring new ideas and projects to the table for your team. - Politics/gossip/favoritism is very apparent throughout the entire company.

I'm sorry to hear your experience at Advanced wasn't a great one. Having started as a Career Consultant myself I can assure you there IS opportunity for growth within the company. We make every effort in the hiring process to clearly explain what this role entails, it's an inside sales job our sales team will spend the majority of their day speaking with clinicians all over the nation to help place them in exciting travel opportunities.

Pros

Laid back dress code and free coffee. Some good people can be found if you rifle through the drama and play the role like everyone else.

Cons

This is a very difficult review to write. There are some deceptive posts here so I feel the need to add a sprinkle of truth. This is a tough position, I have been in sales since college almost 10 years a go now and this is by far an away the most janky role I've ever had. Very little training, and not just sales, there is no script and cookie cutter way to do this role...I get it they want you to be yourself and be genuine. But there's almost zero software navigation training, industry training, lead generation and lead maturity training, follow up, ect...I could go on all day. They seem to save this until they think your worth the expense. And it's not about only training..it's about the total lack of even explaining their expectations beyond numbers. And yes they are fairly up front about the turnover and goals, although they do deceive a bit here too....And being from sales it was sadly obvious they were selling me on even coming in for an interview. The whole pitch was long and well rehearsed. But the heart of the turn over is a lack of transparency of their expectations for recruiters, as well as expectations that should be passed on to the traveler by the recruiter and the team handling them. Good sales professionals also care about their traveler retention and so should the company, it keeps a solid base and helps solidify brand image **If this were done it would be apart of the "world class customer service" pitch they threw in there. In the end it makes everyone look unprofessional and like the left hand has no idea what the right is doing, and that s why if you research how these health care professionals feel about Advanced, ie social media groups, you will learn the truth. Research and ask the right questions, this is a good job if you need something short term until you find something else.

Pros

There are good places to eat near by. Other then that, that's it. I really wouldn't recommend working here, unless you want a short term job.

Cons

You don't get enough training, and once you are on the phones you feel the pressure on you as they use fear of termination to motivate you. One guy I worked with made more phone calls then the class he started with but unfortunately for him didn't recruit any nurses. However most of the remaining people in his class didn't recruit any nurse also. He was terminated on the day 8 or so new recruiters were let loose on the phones. That was a scare tactic aimed at the new recruiters. That guy was a really hard worker and had the same results as anyone in his class! As for me, I was termed for the same reason but I had recruited two nurses at my time there. I made my calls, and even worked at home most nights as they expect you to do so. I gave it my all at this position and worked my behind off only for them to term me and send my nurses to a senior recruiter. That's how this company works. They hire you to get a few nurses and terminate you so they can give the nurses you recruit to senior employees. It's the same with the leads they send you. Bad leads to the new recruiters, good leads to the senior recruiters.

The Indiana office officially became part of Advanced on 5/1/2017. There is much excitement around this new partnership with many positive changes happening. We have made large investments to make it a fun, productive, work hard - play hard culture. We are also very much looking forward to growing our team with the large top talent pool in the Indiana area. I do very much appreciate your comments. We have greatly improved our training with our new structure and we are open to feedback to make it even better. You make some valid points and we will continue to focus on training, culture and fairness. To the fairness part, I would like to point out that when we do have to move a nurse to a new recruiter, it impacts our nurses greatly so we make strategic decisions to ensure we are doing right by our nurses. We value and respect our employees greatly but I am sure we can do more to show it. Thank you again for taking the time to provide your thoughts. This will help us be a better place to work.
