Great Place to Work

Pros

You're a member of the team, not a number. The CEO is fantastic, managers care about their employees and have dedicated time for professional development. Work is fast paced, there are a lot of well-educated, highly performing employees. I plan to stay for years to come.

Cons

Hard to find. If you're professional, have an internal drive to succeed, & don't expect to be handed the world without earning your share, you'll do great here.

Great Organization

Pros

Stable nonprofit organization. No venture capitalists or shareholders to answer to which means less fear of layoffs. Work with smart, interesting people. Approachable, trustworthy CEO Lots of free lunches! ATI loves Newk's and Moe's

Cons

Small company with not a lot of room for advancement. If you work here make sure you like the job you got. Because ATI is a great place to work people don't often leave, so new spots don't often open up that are above you. A few teams are understaffed. For some of us work/life balance is great, but not for everyone.

Pros

[Leadership]: I've been in Charleston for a short period of time and I've worked at three different companies so far. This is the only company that I have worked at where I felt the leadership have integrity. Our president/CEO is very open and honest with all of us. He takes time to learn about us on a personal level because he cares. Mid-level leadership is incredibly competent and genuine. They listen to our concerns about our individual jobs and actually make plans to address them. [The people]: Most people here are people of character. I've been here less than 1 year and people are still as kind and helpful as my first day of work. [Work-life balance]: This is HUGE for me because I came from a company that required us 24/7. Being here is so refreshing because after my 8-9 hours is over, there is no pressure or judgement to stay. And we don't manufacture anything so there is no pressure to ensure a product gets manufactured by a certain time or anything. The president consistently says he wants to make sure we are getting time to spend with our families. That's coming from the TOP so that aspect of company culture flows down. [Company fit]: If you are not thriving in your current position, you have the opportunity to transfer to a different role/department. Their priority is you. [Diversity AND Inclusion]: Just look at our cover photo. As a minority, diversity and inclusion is very important to me. Not only do we have people of different backgrounds working here, but people of color are given the opportunity to move up and be a critical part of the company. [Everything else]: we partake in team building activities once a month, we have tuition assistance after a year, we have town halls once a month with food, we have professional development classes during lunch every two weeks with food, we have a gym reimbursement program, we're in close proximity to a lot of great restaurants, we get larger-than-usual sized cubicles (lol), we get a little food celebration for employee birthdays once a month, we get company shutdown during Christmas and New Years so there's no need to use PTO to spend time with family, we have employee picnics, we have the opportunity to travel, we have a very generous 403B company match, we have the option to work flexible schedules after 6 months of working here, & so much more!

Cons

I wish there were more hands-on/shadowing training instead of reading so much training material during onboarding.....honestly, I can't think of anything else.
