Pros

Self scheduling, overtime bonus pay. Most departments offer self scheduling where employees can schedule the days that they would like to work and schedule the days they would like off. Not a guarantee that you won't work the days that you want off, but it is a nice scheduling process. This campus does offer unscheduled bonus overtime pay in addition to overtime pay. This type of pay is fantastic if a person is looking to make more income for the things they need. These are the only two reasons thay I stayed at this campus besides the great team that I worked with.

Management, pay, benefits, employee safety (car break ins and a shooting in the parking lot)

Pros

In this economy just thankful to have a job.

Cons

The nursing staff is completely overworked and I would say underpayed. I feel safety for the patients is a concern. Since this is my first nursing job I don't know if it is like this at every hospital but if it is pretty depressing. The company is pretty skimpy on the benefits package and vacation time. For instance you have to be there 5 years to be vested for retirement benefit purposes. Management doesn't appreciate their employees as far as actions, only words.
