Pros

Meeting new people from different parts of the country

Cons

They will take advantage and over work you. They have been underpaying associates for many years now. Some associates making less than what fast food workers make- when issues in regards to pay were brought to leadership they would say it was because of cost of living within California Vs associates in other states however there is a huge discrepancy in what they are saying and what associates are being paid. They consistently ask associates to “Lead up” to senior leaders however give very little support to staff within revenue cycle. The senior management is also very disconnected from core staff and do not know how to build a good culture within the work place. In many instances within my position I heard senior leaders/ managers speaking badly about other departments and staff that reported to them. They also did not follow through on things they promised to do and changes they promised to implement. This led to a lot of distrust within the workplace. They say they are a faith based organization however the behaviors I saw within this company did not reflect as such which was really disappointing especially because this is something I valued.

Pros

A Paycheck, average to above industry standard for compensation based on location

Cons

Use of a very old and unpopular electronic health record software (Cerner), lots of gossip at the nursing station, use of paper and even masking tape to communicate health care information, outdated equipment, old and uncomfortable beds that patients complain about, lack of diversity among staff members (especially in management and administration).

Pros

The hospital is clean for the most part. They promote grom within

Cons

They promote from within and they are people that have seniority but they aren't qualified for the job. They lack professionalism, they all display unethical behavior. Middle management is just as unqualified. When a complaint is made about the lower managers, it is swept underneath the rug. There has been complaints from employees and students and those people are still in position. Very stressful workplace.
