Pros

During my tenure with this organization I could not readily identify any pros to working for this organization.

Cons

If you are not an Adventist, this is not the organization for you. There benefits are well below the industry standards compared to other similar organizations in the SAC area. As a new employee, you only receive 21 PTO days while the company requires you to use those days for holidays and flexing. So basically, you really only get about 5 days a year to use as "true" PTO. The turnover rate is really high, I've witnessed people leaving the organization after only being there for a couple of months.

Nice people, lousy PTO

Pros

Nice people to work with

Cons

Lousy PTO. Mandatory scheduled "flex days" next to holidays means you have an extra day taken out of your PTO bank, making it hard to accrue PTO. This also results in people coming to work sick.

Pros

Opportunity to help patients with acute psychiatric and medical needs in a small hospital.

Cons

Hospital management fosters a culture that excludes Latinos and people of color, unless they push a mop, or, change bed pans, and openly disparages Spanish Language Speakers and immigrants of different cultures. Their culture of exclusion protects employees who are members of their church despite their openly hostile and unwelcoming behaviors toward employees of different cultures who are not members of their sectarian community.
