Pros
Good co-workers despite unfortunate working circumstances. Company supplies 3 sets of uniforms per year for FTE. Health insurance is offered but expensive. Free parking on-site. Child-care available on-site if you ever get to the top of the waiting list. Employee housing available on-site, again if you ever get to the top of the waiting list.
Cons
Management does not care about employees, just concerned about making themselves look good. ICU is a poorly run circus due to bad management. Not equipped to deal with tasks due to lack of resources, but upper management looks the other way. No affirmation for a job well done, just looking to place blame on bedside staff. Staff not paid fair market value for their skills, the hospital across the street pays much better and has better employee morale. Always running a bare bones staff... especially on weekends, comes as a safety risk for patients and employees. No critical care differential for ICU or ER staff, no weekend differential.
