      Very flexible schedule, but not good for anyone looking for steady hours

      Pros

      Flexible working with students and people with other jobs, good benefits if you can get enough hours to attain them.

      Cons

      Cannot depend on getting the hours you need, better to expect getting paid less than you need. When other companies come in to do surveys on the hospital, everyone is extremely emotional and snappish. You can meet both amazing people and horrible people, in terms of employees. The patients are normally very sweet, thats the best part of the job. If you're looking to go up, this is the wrong job, most people who cant stand the job are there going up 10-15 years, unlikely you'll get the position.

      Pros

      Rural community with friendly employees.

      Cons

      The healthcare reform is making the hospital make some significant changes, some of which have made working here less intriguing. The management is much more focused on the bottom line, then how they treat their employees. I've noticed over time how the employee satisfaction has decreased because of the many restrictions due to financial hardship. I hope they don't lose sight of theri committment to employees during this struggle to stay financially viable.

      The benefits are amazing. I got to work with an incredible team & I had the support of management at every turn.

      Cons

      Some jobs are contracted out to different agencies. The workers from these companies would complain at length & loudly about the lack of compensation.
