Cheap. Do not pay attention to recent trends in hiring, and pay corporate employees way under than what they are worth. I took a $20k paycut during the middle of the pandemic, and discovered later on that based on my qualifications and certifications, I am at least $30k underpaid. There are no bonuses, and no wiggle room in negotiations from my experience. They do not have a good structure in certain areas and just need to figure it out.
