Pros

Strong core product International trip

Cons

Very weak US commercial leadership. Huge middle management layer, many of whom were recently hired, completely clueless about the industry and also bad culture carrier. What makes it worse? Review is 100% based on your manager's rating. If an IC is too strong, an insecure team lead could make up random negative comments with no accountability. No check and balance to review the difference between what the manager's review and actual feedback received from an IC's stakeholders. Comp, like many already mentioned, are way below market. Unsurprising to see some ICs are trying hide commercial meetings from their direct managers, because some have tendencies to insert themselves in meeting, only to inadvertently derail the conversations given their lack of knowledge and their transactional way of approaching relationships.

Pros

I been working at Adyen for a few months and I have to say it's one of the best places I ever worked at. The Culture is incredible, everyone is smart, engaging and wants to do what's right, they take time to hire right. No egos, Flat Culture, People care. All the things that all the cool startups have like Open Kitchen, Pool Table, Ping Pong, and heart of SF for US Office. Benefits are good too. Lots of opportunity for growing and being involved in building a Global company.

Cons

No Stocks (Dutch Based Company) but Salary and Compensation are pretty strong. Getting larger projects done can take some time due to the global nature of things, but they get done and this is a problem for all companies. A lot of buy in from many groups are needed for certain initiatives.
