Pros

Adyen is a very special company to me. With a very different corporate background coming into this company has been live changing. I've been working with Adyen SF for over 3 year and have had many opportunities to help and build the company to where we are now. Management has a lot of trust in its employees to make the right decisions and really supports those who want to move at the speed of light and help those who need a bit of direction. There is always something new happening; new products , new large customers that open up a new market, Adyen is there and it is up to you to grab the opportunity. While in other companies working with international offices requires processes and internal SLA's, within Adyen we really form connections and forge relationships that lasts. It also makes it super fun to travel abroad and getting a real local treatment by you colleagues! This is part of our culture. The culture really make me stay here and I'm personally a big promotor and believer of it. I believe this is the true strong point of Adyen. Great company, great people, lot's of fun!

Changing too fast

Pros

The office is great, located in a prime spot, and the people are friendly. There are also some fantastic perks, like lunch, snacks, and events. The work environment can be both enjoyable and challenging, depending on your team. The product is excellent and still ahead of the competition, so the business should continue to thrive in the coming years.

Cons

Many senior leaders, who have been with the company for years, are leaving. New VPs and Heads are being hired, which can be positive. However, the combination of these factors, along with the significant hiring in the past three years, has unfortunately had a detrimental impact. The culture is changing too rapidly, and leadership seems increasingly lost. Teams are becoming weary of the frequent structural changes.

Great culture but not for everyone

Pros

- Strong internal culture (Adyen Formula): It encourages people to think and act like entrepreneurs. There are few processes, which keeps us lean and accountable. Though for some, this can feel like a lack of guidance and be disorienting at first. - Great support from senior sales management: They’re always available and open to discussion. While focused on results, they’re also patient and understand that success takes time. In a fast-changing environment, they adapt their management style to support the team. - Strong cross-office relationships: Collaboration with colleagues across different countries and offices is a real strength. But you need to actively build your internal network to benefit from it. - Great perks: Delicious lunches and snacks, plus a beautiful office environment.

Cons

- Time difference with Amsterdam HQ can make coordination tricky. - The brand isn’t yet widely known in the U.S, but visibility is improving quickly.
