Aecon has a good benefits package and pension plan that you can choose to contribute too. They have yearly company wide bonus's depending on how well the company did the following year.

Cons

Not alot of room for advancement unless you are related or know someone higher up. Not very good communication between different yards or offices.

A very good company overall. They do quality work and are professionally run. It is a stable company in an industry that has a lot of shaky companies. They have very good benefits, and the company leadership places a priority on being an employer of choice.

Cons

It can be a 'cliquey' environment, with some of the senior leaders favouring people who tell them what they want to hear. They've had 4 Presidents in the past 8 years - with the one from 8 years ago now president again.
