Good pay although below some markets Company has good exterior image but stock market is going down

Cons

Toxic middle management up to VP level Friends of management gets more Issues are not managed accordingly Some Senior Management at the top prioritize themselves & their reputation instead of supporting the people who are doing the work on the field IT is outdated and the support is very bad

They have some good contracts and reasonable benefits. High potential

Cons

Management here is appalling to say the least. You often are expected to do jobs that are not your field and then fired for making small mistakes. Management is constantly threatening their employees with dismissal. No support or mentoring. Corruption is obvious. Supervisors and managers stacking the deck with their buddies and neighbors from back home. Regardless of skill or experience. They make no effort to retain qualified employees. Incident coverups, misleading reports, completely corrupt. I have never hated working anywhere as much as I hated working at Fort Hills for Aecon.

Really great and talented people. A lot of great projects Amazing Canadian culture and great employee perks and benefits

Cons

Flying by the edge of your seat is a norm. Working a 50-60 hours week is expected, especially if you are attached to a priority project Understaffed projects with crunch deadlines in a high stress environment
