Pros

Agree wholeheartedly with the review below. There are many positives of working with Áegis. Sadly we are so severely micro managed at the community level, when you actually try to do your job, someone from home office makes you feel like your an idiot. I love the residents and getting to know them and their loved ones. The teams work so hard an really care about each other. Most of the team members are there because they truly care for the residents. Many stay because their supervisors at the community truly care about them and treat them with respect. Most communities grow into our second families. Coming to work even with all the “warts” below, is still what I love to do. I hope this very candid review is delivered with the intent to learn instead of just a criticism.

Cons

I thoroughly enjoy working with my team and the staff in our community. Through the pandemic we all felt like we were stuck on an island alone. Answers from the home office were changing so rapidly that we felt left in the dark. It felt as though we were the ones infected especially if on the tiniest chance someone from Home Office were to actually come out to check on the team they might catch something from one of us. They’d stand in the parking lot and yell at us. Making us feel even more alone. That is if they’d actually come out. Oh and then there would be the drive-by deliveries…could you get away any faster? They would refuse come through the doors or let any of us outside to visit. Then they’d drop something at the front door and run away. Though the intent was to “support” us, it made us feel even more alone.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on working at Aegis Living. While the care of our residents is our number one priority we also have the highest respect for the work our employees do every day caring for their residents. We staff based on the current care needs of residents in each community and make adjustments as those needs change. If that is not your experience I would like to know more. Please call me so we can discuss in more detail your concerns over scheduling and pay. Thank you. Sonia Chahal-Singh VP Operations (707) 332-0896
