      Pros

      Aegon treats the employees very well. The compensation, bonus and employee benefits are wonderful.. work/ life balance - summer hours are all offered

      Good health benefits, friendly work place, on site daycare facilities, wide variety of job duties and space for advancement.

      Cons

      Depending upon department, supervisory experience may vary greatly. If you are in a good department, there will be many opportunities to advance.

      A place of change

      Pros

      You are left to your own devises to just get on with your job. The atmosphere is very friendly. There have been some good hires lately and the place seems to be moving in the right direction.

      Cons

      There are a lot of changes going on currently with the creating of a global asset management as oppose to the three regional centres that were independant before. With the changes comes a lot of politics. The place is developing its derivatives capabilities but it is still far from being able to handle derivatives on a large scale - especially OTC derivatives. In general the skill sets are on bonds and equities - skill outside of that are limited. The place is not paying the highest of salaries.
