Good company.

Pros

I found the benefits, 401K, Dental/Healthcare/vision insurance to be good.

Cons

Long hours required of personnel that have not been laid off. Management does not seem to have a handle on their staffing requirements at this time.

Pros

Good people to be around, lots of mentors if you can catch them, lots of opportunity for unique problem solving.

Cons

As one of the younger members of the company, I noticed that many things were outdated - foremost among these, being forced into the office, 8-5, daily, unpaid OT if you needed to stay late. I received no formal training and was basically told that since the pandemic was essentially over, there was no need for me to be remote. This was something I had grown accustomed to in my prior position, so I tried to negotiate for even a hybrid schedule. The response was "Anything over 40 [hrs/wk]."

Pros

Diverse project types. Healthcare projects, Science and Tech projects, Industrial projects, etc. Lot of good people to work with. Wide variety of ideas and many strong technical experience in the office for support.

Cons

1. Existing employees tend to top out at a certain position and are not allowed to advance any further. For example - senior engineers are not promoted to project manager. The company tends to hire project managers from outside the company. 2. In the past there were no issues if a person worked extra hours early in the week and then took time off on another day during the week, they did not have to charge time off. Management seems to be getting more and more stringent on flexible work schedules.
