      “Digital Marketing Specialist”

      Pros

      Digital marketing is made up of a fantastic group of fun young professionals, all doing their best to grow their careers in the industry.

      Cons

      Affinitiv’s leadership is not concerned with innovation or improvement of the products. Instead their values are more focused simply upon scaling as fast as possible. Leadership is not made up of not industry experts, so knowledge gained is job-specific as opposed to field-specific. Digital marketing specialists are at the whim of BDMs, meaning they are often on-call to provide out-of-contract work and favors for potential clients. BDM commission is not shared with support specialists.

      Company needs a lot of work

      Pros

      Free coffee (yeah, I know everyone said it) and a flexible work schedule.

      Cons

      No cost of living raises, no merit based raises, basically no raises. They say they are coming, I'll believe it when I see it though. The C-suite is full of hubris which would be understandable if the company was performing well and knocking things out the park. The truth is the company struggles with even the most basic employer requirements. It's horribly mismanaged, and instead of digging in and figuring out how to fix the issues at hand, it seems like they just hire another VP and hope they will handle it.

      Pros

      - "My time"/Flexible time ofd = get as much time off as you need/can take -Coffee (?) -Lots of random free food -Flexible hours -Lots of upper management -Promises of future growth and potential

      Cons

      - "My time" = feel guilty if you take off more than other people even though you plan ahead - The free coffee is subpar - Poor upper management - no knowledge of the lesser teams - Very clique-y environment - Empty promises of growth and potential -HR ignoring issues -Unequal work among teams -Team workers make unequal pay and when brought to management they said "that's why you don't talk about pay."
