Pros

There is a lot of potential here if you are patient and willing to work hard. The view moving forward could be very bright if they can make the vision happen .

Cons

There is a lack of clear, consistent communication. Priorities seem to shift around . The focus is all about the shiny new office and new people. There are some really great, very smart people in the other offices and in the field too. Remember they are on the calls and not part of the office parties.

False Promises Should Be The Company Slogan

Pros

I won't even list the free coffee on here because in 2018, that should be a given. I think the unlimited PTO, or "My Time" as they are calling it, is probably the one and only pro I can think of at the moment.

Cons

Where to start? False promises. These have become standard around the office. A constant promise for opportunity and career growth backed up by nothing but a few promotions given to people who were already in management, or that tell management what they want to hear; a suck up if you will. So, work as hard as you can, do a great job, get told you will get to a new position and just throw that in the trash because it doesn't really matter. If you can't deliver on your promises, just don't make them in the first place. Recognition? What's that? Not here. Manage to do a good job with a flawed product and systems that don't work half the time and get nothing in return. Not even a job well done. Forget a raise. That would be out of the question regardless. The only thing a job well done gets you around here is MORE WORK. Lesson learned: Do a bad job so they won't hand you more work to do. Not Enough Resources: Most of us weren't properly trained and were thrown into a job and expected to pick up the pieces. Most of us waste hours of the day trying to figure out who knows the answer to what questions all the while coming to the conclusion that NO ONE knows the answer to your question. If you would like to be trained on the job you are expected to do, I suggest you look elsewhere. The company prides itself on transparency, saying that they are an open book, any question is fair game. Actions speak louder than words and I have yet to actually SEE some transparency take place, but I have definitely heard a lot of talk about it. You want to be transparent? Tell us why you fired half the staff and what the 5 year plan is for the company. I have a feeling 5 years is too long of a time frame for this company. Lastly, there is a huge misunderstanding between the field sales team and the internal teams. Message to sales team: we work WITH you, not FOR you. Show some respect for the people who are trying to help you. Don't demand things, politely ask for them. I promise you it will get you what you want a lot quicker and it will make internal employees a little happier to come to work everyday.

Rewarding Bad Behavior

There has been several changes throughout this merger and change can be good, but in this case it's just bad. Several departments don't know who their boss/managers are. HR holds employees accountable to host events, parties, or other items to change the office culture. They don't even help with the interviewing or hiring stages of a new job, they simply post your job opening for you. Internal departments are not properly staffed, leading to a lack of support to our clients and sales force. On more than one occasion an employee with bad work ethic or bad work behavior has been rewarded new lead positions or opportunities to be paid more. Why are we rewarding those with bad behavior and giving no acknowledgment to those with good? Everyone is underpaid.
