Some amazing people, but the pay is barely a living wage.

Pros

I met some of the most amazing people during my time at Affintiv. I got to collaborate with different creative departments and see some of my own creative ideas for projects come to fruition. The “work from here” program let me work anywhere at all. I gained close relationships with my coworkers, as well as some of my clients. They were why I did not want to leave. Great, insightful training programs that teach you more about the industry and prepare you to advance further in your career (if you want to stay in automotive advertising).

Cons

Upper-mid management micromanages heavily which causes frustration and problems within the team. I saw two layoffs during my time at Affintiv. If you’re looking at applying, heed my warning: you might not be staying there for long. Expect to take abuse (including yelling and name calling) at all hours of the day from clients with little to no support from the management on your team. Expect to work weekends and long nights with no gratitude from clients or upper management. Sure, they “match industry rates” here but let’s be honest- it’s NOT. A living. Wage. Not if you own a house. Not if you are a parent. Not if you pay rent. Or bills. It’s not enough for the amount of work you do. I didn’t even make 49,000 a year for my position level after years of working there.

Pros

Honestly none that I can think of other than meeting some great co-workers. Insurance is pretty good I would say.

Cons

So many! Pay is not good at all. After a decade of employment…. I wasn’t making much more then when I started. No room for advancement in this company. Poor management from bottom to the top. This place does not care about you period. There is a lot of turnover and layoffs happen more than expected. No work and life balance at Affinitiv.
