      Doesn’t Compensate International Employees Fairly

      - Good work culture - Great people to work with - Opportunities for growth

      Cons

      While the workload for the international employees is as intense as the US employees, the compensation is much much lower for international employees. It totally makes sense that the pay is not as high as the employees in the US based on the local labor cost of each country, however right now it is even not as competitive as the local tech company while the work life balance is worse than a lot of local company for the international employees.

      Benefits were excellent Pay scales were great Management was okay

      During the downturn when companies were letting people go, they laid off a bunch of us, which was hard but I could've swallowed it, but then I saw a job opening for Senior Developers in Canada for Affirm - soon after letting us go.. really ?

      Developer experience couldn't be worse!

      - Away days - Company actually cares about the financial wellbeing of their employees - Good severance package during the layoffs

      Cons

      - Developer experience is the worst I've experienced in my career - far too much to list here and I don't want PTSD - Management is largely clueless, devoid of actual tangible goals and every project/initiative is reactive as opposed to proactive, leading to constantly scrapped and replaced projects - Tons of red tape preventing developers from getting the real beneficial changes done ahead of the product development curve, leading to an ever escalating amount of tech debt
