Pros

Forma benefits, fully remote work

Cons

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend working for this company. I was constantly micromanaged by my team lead as they only care about stats and metric at this company. It’s really unfortunate that there was a lack of understanding for burnout and unrealistic expectations by the QA team. During my time there have been over 8 members of my team that have left the company. The turnover rate was becoming extremely alarming. In the beginning, they try to make it look, as if they are all about worklife balance, and put their employees first, they definitely sold dream there, because my experience was extremely negative. Lastly, there is no opportunity for growth at this company at all. It’s extremely discouraging how the system works and it just goes to show that they do not want anyone to grow.

Pros

The one notable advantage of working at this company is the remote factor of this job. They also offer a good benefits package.

Cons

Working at Affirm was an absolute nightmare! The never-ending training sessions were a total waste of time because they just kept piling on more without giving us a chance to absorb anything. And as if that wasn't enough, the management had the audacity to gaslight us by slashing our wages and laying off a bunch of people, leaving the remaining employees to pick up the slack without any compensation. They expect us to do the most work for the cheapest rate, like we're some kind of cheap labor force. But it doesn't stop there. Affirm has no qualms about breaking rules and crossing country boundaries, pushing their American regulations and laws onto other countries. Talk about unethical practices! The only redeeming quality is that the job is remote, but trust me, no amount of money is worth putting up with this silly mess.

Pros

- Great Benefits - Help and active community - Frequent company events - Remote First - lots of opportunity for advancement and training

Cons

-Lack of transparency on policy changes. In the past year changes that heavily affected the team in terms of pay, holidays, OT, and PTO were announced almost day of with almost no warning. - Company has initiated the practice of screen recording with seemingly little to no testing. This has caused slow down on employees work stations that impact their handle times. - Management seems overworked and has little time to address employee concerns, or in some cases outright ignores concerns.
