Pros
I don't know other managers but I've got lucky with mine. They are supportive and are trying to provide me with opportunities to have more impact and grow my career. My team is made of very productive, supportive and engaged teammates. What a relief.
Cons
Codebase is pretty bad. Internally created tools/stack is pretty bad but there are talks of dropping the in-house tools and use more standard stack. I already saw some improvements and investments in terms of internal tooling to support ephemeral dev environments and a migration from one testing tool to another that has been handled by a dev-experience team with no impact to other teams (thanks!)
