Pros

There are some incredible people in the company and made lifelong friends and colleagues

Cons

If you look at an old Affirm job posting, it says something about how hubris was a reason for the downfall of banks. Unfortunately, the senior leaders and especially execs not only embody hubris, but also perpetuate an environment of cronyism... arrogance... sexism... biases... and an exceptionally low to non-existent EQ. Take a look at the product and engineer org and their history of ill-conceived reorgs where incredible product managers were pushed out or placed in roles where they would either disengage and leave or underperform since it misaligned with their actual strengths and talent.

Pros

There is no gender diversity among technical or product roles at Affirm, and barely any at the C-suite/VP/Executive level. 80% of the things successfully launched are by the women at the company, but the senior men at the company get all the credit. Do not join this company if you're looking to grow in your career, especially not as a woman.

Cons

Blatant sexism with senior female leaders leaving the company frequently

Pros

- great pay/salary - product is fine

Cons

- pittsburgh operations values don't align with corporate values - management in Ops are pretty egotistical, and some aren't qualified to bein the positions that they are - lots of politics, toxic work culture - slow to move on ideas - lots of make-work - people seem to be justifying their jobs by overcomplicating everything - Ops leaders are too close to HR, so no one to help employees - some leaders in roles have fancy titles but no experience in operations - everything is focused on risks, so it feels like no risks are taken and thus no innovation is happening - you're just beating the same dead horse - managers, supervisors, leads sell everything to us as good for the company and have drunk the kool-aid, some of them even have tattoos that are affirm branded, and even Max was wierded out by it
