Pros

This company gives you the opportunity to help countless people in a meaningful way, receive some of the greatest Fortune 500 training in the world, build lifelong business relationships, earn unlimited income, take all expense paid vacations, and have full control over your schedule. I can show you the deposit statements and can show you the pictures of the vacations! I have had the greatest mentors in business with Aflac who have dedicated tens of thousands of hours into my development outside of their normal job description when they didn’t even have to. I have helped policyholders receive claim money from Aflac that have kept them in their homes, helped with they got cancer, helped when their children got cancer, covered people when they needed it the most and have seen Aflac go above and beyond when they didn’t need to because they care about the people! You will be pushed to greatness, you will grow outside of your comfort zone and you will succeed as long as you put in the work!

Cons

If you’re looking for easy, mindless, clock in - clock out job with minimal effort, little training, being left alone and meaningless work this company is not for you. If you’re unmotivated, not ambitious, and are looking for the easy way out do not consider any position with this great company.

Pros

Flexible hours, not much rules to follow. Able to earn a lot of income only if you are a super good sales person.

Cons

Very sales focused. Don't learn much except that. Also, they tell you at the beginning that it is a high paying salary. But again, you could be making $0 if you don't have any sales. There's so base salary.

Pros

I was part of the group that had the opportunity to keep the pension (which is the main reason I stay, i would have to literally get paid close to 100k a year, have great benefits, and even up my 401k another 12-15 percent just to make it worth it), profit sharing bonus isnt promised but a huge plus, 401k match up to 4%, benefits, PTO that builds by one day (once tenured at 5 years till 15th year, so over 200 plus hours of paid time off). When you hear of google and their amenities and even cafe it makes our cafes look like highway robbery. You pay a premium to eat healthy here. The town of Columbus is a nice area to raise a family, not a big city feel but just enough not to feel like small country town. Most millennial adults and generations forward hate the town but those establishing a family see the reasoning to stay if they are in a professional role and settling down.

Cons

Promotions usually mean you will be brought in at the bottom of your pay scale and it seems that bracket can range up to 20-35k as you move into analyst and management roles. I feel the pay is quite low for the level of work considering the same job pays almost 15-20k more in larger cities. I have plenty of friends that left for Anthem/BCBS/Unum etc because of this....However, if you make it a career being at the professional analyst level, such as a SR analyst or Consultant (which is usually an MC1-MC2 range) you can achieve close to a six figure income. Higher levels of management have over a 130k cap. The most difficult part of this is waiting for people to leave the company through attrition or just because of a better opportunity. If you are in the GA side, property taxes suck, however in Phenix CIty AL they are about 1/4th. If you aren't above 75k aftertax dollars with kids this can be a rough town to swing because of expense, being single you can maybe get by making 35-40k but you will live by your means.
