Unfair and unequal

Business Outlook

Pros

Benefits, 401k, flexible work schedule; training opportunities; great colleagues

Cons

Bias and favoritism for promotions not based on merit or experience; little growth if you are not part of ivory, yes in crowd. Unpredictable about involuntary company shut down days, transformation and layoffs.

Pros

Strong Values: Agilent emphasizes integrity, teamwork, and customer focus, which are evident in many areas of the business. Collaborative Culture: Many teams work well together.

Cons

Transformation Project Issues: The ongoing transformation feels excessively long, with too many consultants involved and unclear priorities. When there have been attempts at communication, it has been a giant flop. Favoritism & Promotions: There’s noticeable favoritism, and some promotions don’t make sense based on merit or performance. Talent Loss: Unfortunately, some truly great employees have been let go—often those who focus on doing excellent work rather than politics. This is demoralizing for the broader team. The old days of Mike M. are long gone, when folks felt appreciated and valued. With Padraig, he clearly doesn't give a crap about the employees.

New CEO destroys a once great company

Pros

Most of the people The customers & the work they do A paycheck

Cons

Everything else. If you want to work at a company where you are given the right balance of authority to run your function and accountability to make sure things are going well, where people are promoted based on their contributions, capabilities, and track record, and where people at the top of the company work collaboratively to balance the needs of customers, shareholders, and employees, this is not the place for you. It used to be, but that all ended when the new CEO came on board. Now, a job requirement for all employees is to kiss the ring of the king and his sycophants.
